The ENVI Orthorectification Module requires a previous installation of ENVI 4.7 SP1 and is supported on Windows 7, Vista, and XP SP2.

Enhancements to the ENVI Orthorectification Module.

The ENVI Orthorectification Module has been redesigned for increased usability and interactivity when orthorectifying images. The following is a summary of improvements in ENVI 4.7 SP1 :

You can turn on/off individual ground control and tie points to see how they affect the overall root mean square error (RMSE) of the model. This allows you to determine which points to remove or retain in the model.
Tie points can be automatically generated between overlapping images, existing points can be edited, and you can manually add new points.
The Layout Manager interface has been updated to allow a more comprehensive overview of the elements of your project.
The structure of ground control and tie point ASCII files has been optimized for easier to use.
Ground control and tie point tables have been consolidated and are available by clicking Show List.
Ground control and tie point label colors can be changed in the Layout Manager.
Adding and editing ground control and tie points is simpler and more interactive.
You can choose to display grayscale or true-color versions of the input images when adding or editing ground control or tie points.
The process of defining and interactively drawing cutlines has been streamlined.
Orthorectified output can be reprojected into any projection that ENVI supports.
The ENVI_RIGOROUS_ORTHO_DOIT routine for ENVI programmers has been updated

Bugfixes on ENVI otho module 4.7

EROS datasets work correctly in the ENVI Orthorectification Module.
Loading a GCP file twice does not result in duplicate GCP records.
ASTER datasets work correctly in the ENVI Orthorectification Module.

Known Issues ENVI otho module 4.7

WorldView-1 Enhanced BASIC and Stereo BASIC products are not supported. As a workaround, rename the file extensions to .LV1B or .LV2A before loading these datasets into the ENVI Orthorectification Module.

ENVI issues an error message if you load multiple ASTER datasets into the ENVI Orthorectification Module, then save and restore the project.

When orthorectifying Landsat TM and ETM+ data in FAST format, the ENVI Orthorectification Module does not create a preview during the final step of the workflow.
ERS data will orthorectify correctly, but the reported pixel sizes in the final workflow step are incorrect.

The ENVI Orthorectification Module does not currently support:
ASTER Level-1B EOS v2.13 files
GeoEye-1 JPEG2000 multispectral files
OrbView-3 Enhanced BASIC and Stereo BASIC products
QuickBird JPEG2000 files
